Storeroom and materials

MRO storeroom, critical spares, and bill of materials consulting

Aegis helps plants in Indiana and across the Midwest get their maintenance storeroom under control: the right parts, recorded accurately, and on the shelf when they are needed.

MRO storeroom management

A storeroom that cannot be trusted costs twice: in parts bought again because nobody could find them, and in repairs that wait on a part the system said was there. Aegis works with your storeroom and maintenance staff on the basics that make it reliable.

  • Organization: locations, labeling, and a layout that matches how parts are used.
  • Controls: how parts are received, issued, and returned, and who has access.
  • Inventory accuracy: counts that match the records, and a routine that keeps them matching.

Critical spare parts

Not every part deserves a place on the shelf. Aegis helps identify the spares that matter most, based on how critical the equipment is and how long a replacement takes to arrive, then sets stocking levels and the storage and care those parts need while they wait.

Bills of materials

An accurate bill of materials lets a planner find the right part for a job without walking to the equipment. Aegis builds and cleans up BOMs so they match the equipment as it actually runs, structured in your maintenance system so they are used.

How it connects

Storeroom work pays off elsewhere. A shutdown depends on parts being staged before the first day, and a preventive maintenance program depends on the parts for each task being available.

Where this experience comes from

As a maintenance manager, founder Cristian Boar managed the purchasing of equipment, spare parts, and tools and negotiated contracts with suppliers. At Holcim's Alesd plant he was also project manager for a net working capital optimization project.
